For Questions Regarding WOFs/CERTs/NUMBER PLATEs

Spam kinda - but something I've noticed in for sale listings recently.

Sellers are explicitly saying 'old style cert plate' - as I'm picking these are preferred by more people due to them being more vague with modifications than the newer digital ones.  Easier for a new owner to change a couple of things to their liking.

I rekon that munters will soon treat cars with the rfid/gps/facial rec/ankle monitor cert tags will the Lhd Rotarys of the sale world. $20k less for same car with one compared to a old plate style.

Yeah, the photos are harder to access so they think they have more leeway.

Has there been a conspiracy thread about the donuts having tracking technology?  They’re always watching :compress:

There's some case law somewhere about that. Something something if the incident wasn't caused or contributed by a thing that would fail a WOF then you're covered still.

do you think a magneto and copper plugnwires would put out enough RF noise to fry a chip in the engine bay?

(The answer appears to be it will possibly fry the antenna in the chip from all the magneto, copper wire, and nonresistor plugs. But i guess they put it in the doorframe or whatever/another black numberplate debacle)

So im adding in a electric vac pump for some extra brake vac and using all gm stuff

using a VE commodore up28 pump and a cruize switch / T that fits on the booster so i can still keep the engine vac, it will just kick the pump on at low vac as I have been finding at times this is a bit average with the cam im running.

@cletus whats the go with the brake booster hose from the pump to the valve switch with regards to markings, as I know it has to be specific stuff as im fitting on the other side of the engine bay.

will this comply or is there a brand you recommend.

Booster vac line has to have J1403 on the hose.

That repco one should be fine.
"The Goss J1403 brake vacuum hose is for use in power Light Duty applications. It is resistant to heat, oil, grease, abrasion, weathering & ozone, and complies with LVVTA regulations."
