Roman
I used to hear that with MR2 as well. People 100% convinced you'll die if you take the spare wheel out of the front. But nope stripped absolutely everything out of the front and it handled amazing. Drove a VW suspension based Off Roader which has absolutely fuck all going on up front apart from holding the wheels on. Probably the best handling and most exhilarating thing I've ever driven. Turns that sometimes, just sometimes.... Internet Barrys are wrong

kws
Try owning a Marina, you'll hear every man and his dogs opinions on them. But also,I did almost die in my AW11 when it decided to lock the front brakes at an intersection and scoot forward from the sheer power of the 4age and auto trans. Thus, they're all killers. Also, snap oversteer lololol. 1

Most understeery AND snap-oversteery thing I've ever driven. Do not recommend hooning one on smooth concrete with a questionable wheel alignment. It just goes to show that a poorly maintained and questionably set up car will almost always be shit.

I also locked the front brakes up in the centre of blenheim, skidding forwards into the back of a mates Prelude. The spin outs were all caused by a few factors and not really the cars fault. My lack of skill and the short space of time between having talent and then running out of talent was most likely the main reason. Also fact that it was my second ever car and my first car was a triumph 2500. I'd drive one to the next and they were completely different cars to drive. I found the mr2 so sketchy to drive really fast on tight narrow roads that my mate would often keep up in his lesser powered levin. Fuck I did some stupid things in that car and look back wondering how I managed not to kill myself. But it was fun.

Alfashark
Swing-axle life - If you think you've come in too hot, don't lift. Bury the loud pedal and keep that rear suspension loaded, left-foot brake to punch the nose in and as always, make sure your bollocks are safely tucked into the wheelbarrow you're carrying them in. 2

Truenotch
I love that @yoeddynz's thread is being hijacked by MR2 stories. The sketchiest MR2 I ever drove was @Sungai Sungai's with completely fucked shocks. Snappiest car I've ever driven - it's lucky they spin on a dime, cause I managed to spin it on a 1.5 lane road out the back of Tokomaru and end up facing exactly the same way without leaving the road. Anyway, please get more vids of this from the outside. It sounds amazing. 3

63Ragtop
Tyre pressure makes a world of difference between being alive or not in the VW, nearly ate it one time when the tyre guys put 32psi all the way around once. Car only weighs 750kgs with 70% being on the rear. Absolutely love this build Alex, so clean, so tidy, so well thought out, engineered and built. Amazing bro! And it sounds so cool hooning away on the videos, fuck yes!
cletus
it sounds great! if you shut your eyes its like listening to a 911 hooning past regarding your oil filler cap, would adding a small valve to equalise pressure be a solution? ie a tyre valve, press it to let the pressure equalise, check oil level
Popular Post cletus
you could also use it to wind up the facebook barries "i added this schraeder valve to my oil filler cap so i can pressurise the oil system for cold starts" 3 1
Sunbeam
Sounds so good on the outside! Just drive with the window open all the time, that way you won’t need to faff around with tuning the exhaust. In fact, just remove the side window glass altogether and save weight at the same time, or you could put the glass in the frunk to improve the handling. 1
