I wonder if the decrease in fuel used (& therefore less bad diesel emissions) would out weigh the benefit of emissions control systems in cases like this?

Would be difficult to measure or even prove the EGR system was working properly to begin with in this case so yeah, bin that shit.

EGR can go to hell. I reckon about 2/3rds of CRDs I deal with with running faults have been because of the EGR, either failing and jamming wide open, or just gumming up the intake with thick oily carbon crud.

Fuck EGR.

The Euro's are going to hot EGR. will see how that goes ( so no cooler etc)
Still, fuck EGR.

Aftertreatment is a pain in the ass, but i can deal with it. because its after the engine. this bullshit that poisons the whole motor when it fails can burn in hell.

Not 100% sure yet but probably exhaust, wheels, paint, might do some engine mods, can get fancy suspension so might do that, smaller front guard

Some dual purpose tyres might be a good idea for exploring

I can do a lot of parts for these things too.

I've got a 98 NV150 here myself, trying to decide if I rebuild the seized engine to factory spec or go for a 187cc build

Pretty sure the bike shop next to me has the same exhuast set up as mine which would be a legit upgrade for you.

Hah 

Went to go for a ride today cause sunshine

Scoot no go. No spark. 

 

About 2 hrs later found a shitty connection at the cdi unit 

 

Ah well at least I learned some stuff about vespas

Clint plz come down do some riding in the waikato!

Everyone down here seems to have reasonably fast small bikes so rides are to kawhia etc are real fun (50% of the time, atleast)

(I may have to work later this week but was REALLY hoping to go for a decent ride if the weather isnt too lame)

I guess if your curb hopping you might have problems. But seems the guy racing it off road wouldn't want it there if it was going to be a problem so seems like a good idea if your only focusing on a expansion chamber.
