I put it in D and its reving it's nuts off, car has been sitting for 40+ years. I think I've got a book at work. Will check tomorrow. Other wise ring Erick at Automan Automatics. The main thing with a dynaflow is most of the gears are done on different vane pitch in the torque converter. There's 3 different types too from memory. What's it in? 1 Quote

Carsnz123 Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 @SOHCThe earliest the book I could lay my hands on is 1953. Excessive slip in drive only indicates incorrect adjustment of the manual linkage (should go from carb to valve on the size of the transmission). Or low pressure at high accumulator from a leaking gasket internally. Or stuck clutch piston check ball. There is a chance the earlier ones have differences. Funnily enough I've got to get the converter off a 1960 Invicta which is a mish on its own, requiring the disassembly of the converter. 1 1 Quote

I cant find any information on this problem of be stuck in L Quote

igor Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 On autocad I'd draw one then copy copy copy. You may have a more advanced software package available. Quote

bigfoot Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I have a question for the os brains trust. We have a van at work with an electric door opener, we need to fit something to pull the door handle before the opener starts to operate. The opener operates off a momentary signal from the central locking. Is there such a device that can operate a solenoid and then a few seconds later send a signal to open the door? Quote
tortron Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Time delay relay https://www.mrpositive.co.nz/automotive-30a-12v-timer-delay-relay https://www.hella.co.nz/en/products/relays-flashers/time-control-relays/12v-5-pin-time-control-unit-with-pick-up-delay-2010a.html Adust from 0 to 999 seconds i think Or you can get little boards that do.th3 same thing Quote
Nominal Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Get a proper automotive one, they are more likely to work in a car environment. I tried a 12v timer board from AliX, it was fine running on the car when the engine wasn't running, but didn't work right with the engine running, too much electrical noise from the ignition probably. 1 Quote

Was actually much easier than expected. Fusion has a great pattern tool I found. 6 Quote

MightyJoe Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Has anyone got any decent links to wiring pinouts for modern cars? Trying to fit an NZ toyota radio to a JPN toyota car and can't find comprehensive pinouts for either. It's fucking frustrating as it works for radio, but won't connect to the phone because microphone isn't connected but can't find the factory jpn wiring colours for microphone . (Reverse camera is next) Quote
