  1. nice, or you could add a day/night sensor on the power supply so they automatically turn on when its dark and off when its light enough for you. cheap asf from bunnings.
  2. i know of an 06 caldina wagon, freshly warrented, i think its a 1800 2wd spec, thats about to go for sale as she has just upgraded. car has been a fucking mint runner for the past 12yrs she has owned it. shes looking for that 4 to 4.5k range. cars in hams. not hard to get it up to u though, im sure.
  3. ah well ya see the problem there is that the measuring equipment you're using there, will always be insize! remove the crank and bearings, put the caps on and torque down and measure the bore to ensure these are correct, and round, and not needing a line bore first. check the bearings are the correct thickness for the block is supposed to require also. bearings in my experience u gotta pay special attention to everything as a slight difference thats supposed to be OEM can through everything out. or buy proper plastigage to verify the stuff you using is decent. also, are you putting it right across the journal to check its not barrelled etc?
  4. As there are so many of you very smart fellas with these electronic gadgets with boards and fancy pants stuff here, im desperately after a thing and hoping someone would like to make it. I have a 24v and 0.2a circuit that needs to be broken on a regular time between 2 - 5 mins ( of which I'd like the time to be adjustable ). Either digital or clock face, don't particularly care but assuming digital is easier to do. It is a 1 wire feed. Currently insulated Spade terminals. It can be powered via 240v plug into wall, maybe if you're clever you could have the box turning itself on when it receives the 24v signal and again off when it's not received 24v signal for more than a nominal amount of minutes? It also wants to be insulated to whatever housing it's in or plastic box. Maybe even mounted with strong magnets that will support its own weight and cable. If someone is keen to do, can you give me a cost and how quickly can this be done and couriered to waikato. Plz and thanks.

    Diffs

you are correct, diffs arent scary, there is very little to it as you have found. and BANG on, they are very labour intensive but with the right attitude and quickly knock up a mount o hold it and spin over etc, they can be easy to do.
  6. that should be sticky'd
  7. ^^ LEGEND! if you are still offering when i get a tig be dead keen to work out the ali stuff

  9. Cable ties. Lots of them haha
  10. Normally if so, there have been threaded holes that you can bolt them in to there specifically for them. But otherwise they are just a body line to seperate the roof to the side pillar structure.
  11. glad you're happy with it. they are a decent machine for cheap
  12. done an awesome job too! bet you're beyond chuffed with it.
  13. yip as above. drop the urethane rod in the freezer overnight and gets hard enough to machine nicely!
  14. interesting it doesnt have one. even though its auto talot of the older japs had a BOV in the inlet tube so doesnt over pressure when taking foot off thrttle. we found the 4m40 challengers were around 21psi before was bypassing. quick little mod and she was away to kingdom come haha. never went boom either. alot of hard towing kms it did
  15. does autolign not do their own custom tunes anymore?
