I think I've found the destination for the next OS Tram adventure.......Ferrymead has several working examples of telephone exchanges dating from the 1920's.  Lots of clanking spinning bits while you can prank call each other on rotary phones.

As much as this equipment piques my interest.. Did anything become of the oldschool ferrymead train inspection?

I think any OS trip to Ferrymead was waiting for Spring....so yes, we can sill organise that as well.

Its that naturally occurring oil film on them that stops them rusting in the rain. Just had a bit too much on my plate / no OS car on the road right now. Decent turn out for the weather!

I've never experienced a car that went from looking perfect to being completely rusted out faster than a Mitsubishi Tredia.

 

They say that by the time you can see the rust on them, it's too late
