zep
That's all good with me. Have to organise some time when I'm actually around though! See what Simon says.
Simon
Yeah mate, fine by me. Just don't let them get out of your hands and get them back to Leon briskly.
karmagedon
Them kadett flares look better IMO
Truenotch
Really? I'm still thinking ZG is the best for the "flares with poke" look.
zep
True that, and I don't actaully think that I will be able to find the GTE flares very easily at all. I've done some brief searching and they appear to be non-existant.
kyteler
Yeeeeaaaaah. The Kadett C look a little large, you may as well try and fit the SLR5000/'rana flares for a similar shape/size/look if you're going to go down that route. ZG simple style is the best for your application, I think.
d.p.n.s
have you thought about making you own zep? we just use to use 4mm round bar bend it to the shape you want then cut the guard and bent it out to match. then just weld it and full it. or you could just bolt some on lol dan
kyteler
^ He wants the bolt-on look. As well he should, it's awesome.
Sparkle
I like the kadett C guards man! How hard to get a hold of?
zep
Haven't found one source at all.
mikuni
What about the place that sells them in carbon fibre? Granted they are super expensive but it would be worth every cent.
zep
They are also attached to facelift Kadett C guards on the front, though, aren't they.
mikuni
I'm sure there are options. I'm also sure the ZG guards will look perfectly fine and be much cheaper, quicker and easier.
Toucan
Looks like the Kadett C ones fit better, but I think the ZG style will look better on the Gem
ryanfels
nice man, stoked to see progress!!! Where did you get the gauges and how much?
zep
Gauges are from Summit Racing www.summitracing.com and were, I think, $49USD $52USD and $62USD respectively. Did a massive order with a mate so the shipping works out okay in the end because stuff from there is cheap as chips.
KKtrips
nice man, stoked to see progress!!!Where did you get the gauges and how much? You want Autometer - try Crustywhip - he has Road & Track hookups perhaps...
Alistair
Mum still wants first dibs if you ever sell this. She's still gutted my brother sold it to you lol.
zep
Haha, it's a different beast now! But hey, at least I haven't written it off as seems to happen a lot.
Brock-Lee
Mk1 lip is so sweet, but it looks as if it is sitting a bit low. To me It looks as if it wants to be lifted about 2" to the part of the valance as it rolls back out, so it sits on the same angle as now, just a tad higher.
