the only other thing thats happened is that we've been painting.

all the internal walls and ceilings are done so if the sparky ever fucking turned up we could have power and lights.

ive been told the plumber is going to be here on Thursday to install the toilet, vanity and plumb the hot water cylinder but ill believe it when i bloody see it.

some fuck around with the retention tank and the council now having a spazz because the spouting joins the neighbors house. just like it was before. and just like its shown on the plans that the council used to determine what size retention tank we had to use............

 

so we cant fill in the trenches and finish up the front yard dirt bit until the council fuck around more.

the builder had to cut a fucking massive hole in the wall to put timber in to support  the vanity unit that is wall mounted. the same vanity unit that has been on site for months and months. the same vanity unit that has been on the schematic drawing that we gave the builder about 4 months ago.

so they had to cut a fucking big hole in the wall to put in timber to mount the vanity unit on. so now i have to repaint that wall once the plasterer has attempted to fix this fuckup.

 

on the plus side there is now water. there is no power and that will be end of next week. 

fuck ill be glad when this is over.

Interesting, we usually scope this as builders work for services (by the builder).

Not in 10 years have I ever seen a plumber put in his own nogs.

Looks epic! Our place is definitely going to be less "designer" especially in the bathroom..... Given we're introducing kids into the mix, everything has to pass the practicality/durability test. Also, I'm colourblind and Claudia is stylistically conservative, means our place will be boring in comparison. Loving how yours is turning out though!

Grey area I guess. Anything structural like wall hung pans and sinks builders should be doing it. Anything for taps ect is up to  the plumbers. 

House is looking awesome though. You’ll be stoked to see them leave ha.
