What's your plan for making flares?

Something similar to the dude with the 504 Pug on retro-rides??

Dont give up mate. I have a pair of 15x 10" and 15x 9" 4x100 stud steelies if you want to try on your car for different offsets. I plan on stretching some 195 50 and 205 50's on them. My steelies where originally FWD rims but widened outwards so im guessing they should bolt on your mx5 but will sit in heaps more furtherer.

Least you can try them and it will help you sort out what offset you need.

Dude...

Think about it before you go any further and waste time / cut up a good car...

If you do not change the wheels:

The car will not handle at all (like actually be a bitch to drive).

You can't or will find it extremely difficult / expensive to get tyres that will pass a cert on those wheels and fit under the guards.

You will need wheel bearings for every wof.

It will have to be slammed more than a gang wife to pull it off. Which you have already found your coilovers can't do anyway?

Cut 2 inches out of the front of them and all your problems will dissipate.

It's obviously my opinion, so you do what you want.

haha thats so awesome. Obviously you'll taper the flares down towards the car at the bottom. I like the style of them and beginning at the top of the guard ties them in nicely with the body. Considering all things, they don't actually look too big at all.

Did you try turning the wheel with them on, including tyre thickness?
