Chrome_GT
Have heard of Pick a Part before. What makes Pick a part different from a standard wrecker? I've never really had much luck finding bits i need from wreckers - i tend to by donor cars bad habit

d.p.n.s
its just that in the past when ive been building projects i always had a pick a part on my doorstep and it was so handy to walk in there with a tape measure and and get a heap of differant parts that might fit and it cost fuk all. shizzl
pick a part is cheap cos you take it off yourself.. you can choose the tidiest one your after too usually out of 5 different cars there... or if your cunning you can turn it into nick a part and throw it over the fence pick it on your way out... not saying that i have or havent done this... dirty_leppa
theres something like that out near kirwee way i used to go to to get stuff for my old dx. the guy had about 250 cars out there. was evrything from escorts, old jags and cortinas to jap stuff and a factory turbocharged V6 honda aspire. unfortunately u cant just rock up anymore and buy shit, as he gone done for not declaring his cash sales. the only way to deal with him is to go through a old car restoration place just off moorhouse, down the same road as bellamy and east. DJZ
Yeap out Hornby way there is a apparently a half set up Pick a Part that's been like that for a few years from what I hear. The Pick a Part man holding the spanner is there. Will be super sweet if it does open, then Damien won't have to do missions for me!

Ranter
Saw a brand new Hilux or whatever ute all sign written up at the Car Cafe last week, was surprised as I'd thought it was a north island thing. Took no notice of address or details however.

RUNAMUCK
RIP Budget Auto Wreckers. QFT! That place was my second home for a while. They had about a dozen datto's and Vals, and all kinds of other treasure. I rang there to ask about something, and they'd been bought out by all cars(?) and they scrapped all the old stuff. I was almost in tears.
CUL8R
Yea Brother and I went and got a pile of stuff for basically scrap value. There used to be many years ago a 'u-pick' in hornby...
ThePog
Down Halswell junction road there is a pick a part compound, it is a pretty recent addition. I drive down there most weeks and have only seen it in the last few months I am sure. Never seen it open yet tho.
corey_jorg
update. been told through work pick-a-part hornby will be opening on the 20th of july. now ive also been told there is no chance of ever stealing anything including a badge from there, so best noone tries. -i know the sparky that wired up all the cameras. $2 entry like normal, 199 for a running motor. over 500cars in stock as of last week so growing every week. and all single stacked in vehicle make ares to make easier.
