  1. can i ask why you chose those dc5 adjustys? are are they the shortest ones you found?
  2. am moving into a house before long and am wanting a quiet'ish single or couple to help pay the bills. house is in halswel area, fully fenced safe street. will be living with me and the mrs, 21 and 19. plus a 2 year old cuddly american staffy and will also be getting another puppy nearer xmas. house is a 3 bedroom (fairly big bedrooms) with a huge lounge, med dining and med kitchen. big back yard to keep possessions out of site. has a large double garage which will be full with junk at first but possibly is a space for someone building a project car. i will be putting in new tall fences and gates for piece of mind but ive been living in the same block for the last 4 years and never had an issue, never look my cars either. were sweet with someone who has a pet or 2. if are dogs, must be inside trained and be ok with other dogs. came to a figure of 400-450 for a couple plus food. (mysky, power, broadband, insurance etc inclusive) 300-350 for a single. we dont drink nor smoke, i work huge hours as a truck driver and the mrs is a receptionist then after hours is at her paddock with her horses. so are looking for a similar couple/single who are/is looking for a long term room while in town or saving for their own place -bonus being you can keep ya beloved pet, which isnt possible currently in chch. price is ruff. may be less but wont be more, just going off of all our expenses, and figues eg: mrs friend -1 bed flat $320pw all expenses $350-$420pw. wont be till nov ish.

  7. doing finishing touches/remaking my hatch. spent all weekend completely rewiring from front seats forward, looks mint. just a few questions involving important pieces. am looking to airbag it front and rear. is currently airbagged rear but want to chop up the chassis and add a small c'notch so it can lay frame with bumps out and also have enough room for a factory bumpstop. my estimate is shown in picture, will also be lifting the spring arm up 35mm at the left end, nothing structual changes when lifting it up as is still designed the same. the "lip" seen hangs down 25-30mm lower than the chassis rail, a double skin for inner guard. just wanting to know what metals to use and how it has to be strengthened. am also looking to had a |_| piece of steel section down the length of each chassis rail to add strength and so they dont get damaged. is this allowed and what thickness/requirements are needed. front setup. yes i know the top hat is wrong and shocks arent shortened but am sorting that. am looking to swap the current spring with a sleeve style airbag. make a suitable mount top and bottom and shorten shock to suit. also any issues/requirements with this? also are my wheel spacers legit? last queery. ive had to chop a chunk out of my oilcooler to fit the lines in. am looking to add some strength back into it. does this cardboard template look ok or shall it be round? 9. drawbar is 100x50x3 so fairly strong. no weight at all on it as all weight is on the 2 trailer wheels. so only stress from pulling and turning. owes me around 1600 all up. with abit to a mate for welding, finding the pieces etc. about 1200 in materials including wheels "price" all tho i already owned them.
  10. 2 ramps connect to the chainlinks which have been welded to the rear. and have 2 modified strops that go over the wheels. didnt picture with as paint is still tacky.
  11. decided to build this trailer as wasnt impressed with paying tow truck fees to move around my hatch and other cars, and didnt have enough room for a tandom car trailer. enjoy And this is it now, had to work today and was to good'er weather to waste afterwards so decided to paint it. 14. but is the altezza irs setup as straight forward as the mx5? nice and square. the silvia setup look like it would be a mish but mx5 would be easier. im not worried about width as will be running some 13x10s with huge dish and wana run boso style guards to get some looks. will do abit more googling. cheers.
  15. hey, off topic but can you remember how wide the mx5 subframe was? thinking about doing the conversion to a dx. cheers corey.
  16. why not build a tank, cut buttom off of can and use as a sleeve?
  17. i normally remove the centre console or surrounding and remove the shifter. 1 less thing to get broken or bent. or get stuck in the hole making ya swear.
  18. i dont know any toyota diff codes but read on rotahavik that ya use a diff out of a toyoace from the late 80s to early 90s era as they are strong'ish and are 15ish mm longer than standard dx diffs. but in saying that a mate kept blowing dx diffs in his 13bt rotary sedan until he changed diff angle and driveshaft angle and now has no problems.
