RUNAMUCK
A thought popped into my head today that it would be worthwhile (given how big this fiasco is getting) for the back up vehicle to carry a first aid kit of some kind. If it's @BLIZZO work ute, assume it'll have those special bandages used when chainsaws amputate limbs/heads. But if not it'd be a worthwhile investment of some of the entry money to get a decent first aid kit/perhaps a fire extinguisher too. A little bit of fire can be a big problem Without one. And bleeding can be be a big problem with no first aid kit too.

Mop Head
Yeah I have that. And I had a tiny first aid kid with me last year. The support car had a big one last year too which is where I got my sling from. A few people attending are likely to have first aid certs too. BLIZZO
Any blackwoods type health and safety place will have those little 400gm extinguishers. We make contractors tree fallers carry them on their belts in summer months. I might grab one and mount to my bike actually that’s probs not a bad idea. most summer trail rides make people have them, just tape them to fork tubes usually.
Tumeke
I used to cable tie one of those small ones to the bike when I did motocross. Was a compulsory requirement at Woodhill. So small and light you didn't know it was there. A+.

RUNAMUCK
I've been looking at sleeping bags on Aliex for this. Some are fucking tiny, which is ideal given the space limitations. But some of thos small ones dont look overly warm. Whats the typical overnight low that time of year in that neck of the woods?
Mof
Threeonthetree had a sleeping bag from the warehouse that said it was good down to 0º or something like that. Wasn't very big in it's stuff sack and had compression straps on the sack too. Fyi
datlow
I can bring work defib/tourniquet/plb and a couple of old first aid kits to chuck in the support vehicle and a 9kg co2 extgiusher too if required
Mop Head
Yeah I just got a Kmart sleeping bag because it was small and rated down to single digits. Was less than $30 I think and way smaller (roll size) than my nice one.
