  1. @Nominal it's impossible to say without seeing it, I avoided doing drum bearings and seals because it takes forever and was never worth it.
  2. I've had some success with a desulphator and charger on a battery for a few weeks. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNukyZN
  3. Like kpr says, they all do it. I've repaired lots of Digi dash stuff off that era too.
  4. They'll have the cable and lugs, but won't crimp them for you. Whatever you do, don't be tempted to solder them. You could try bribe an auto sparky to crimp them?
  5. 25mm double insulated flex is most commonly used. https://www.trademe.co.nz/3132796229
  6. I dunno why you're complicating this, just goto the tyre shop and tell the guy what you want. Buying second hand tyres can get fucked for a daily tbh, you gotta check the date code to see how long you got till they fall apart. I've used motor treads in the past and he's been great for doing exactly what I asked of him.
  7. This thread sucks, do you ever finish anything?
  8. It's only 6A, I'd just run it through a switch. Unless you really had your heart set on putting a relay in.
  9. How many watts is the light? I prob wouldn't even bother with a relay depending on what switch you have or going to get.
  10. Hell yea, I have fond memories of hectic nights on Thompsons. Kati side next?
  11. @kpr have you got any thoughts of cold (fridge temp) vs hot (50 ish?) petrol?
  12. LPG? So keen to see petrol vs lpg. 16V vs 20V. More vacuum cleaner oil separator
  13. I hate it when people mix flux with water, it's so much easier to use when in powder form. Heat welding rod, dip into flux, bit of heat onto the join and smear flux on there too. Rod back into the powder, then do weld.
  14. Had to do this the other day when flatmate failed wof for missing button on the seatbelt. Replaced button and gave the belt a birthday with simple green. Tidy up the edges with the lighter and Robert is your brothers mother. Edit: I just realised this is your project thread, sorry about that hah.
  15. PE is a bit more forgiving than ABS, give the heat gun a whirl. Nice work, good job pesting about with projects.
  16. Yea had this 10 years ago, wound the idle speed up and continued on with life.
  17. Driving at 80 feels like riding at 300km/h. A smart person would be taking Monday off work, I'm not that person.
  18. For anyone wanting to put their mind at ease, here ya go. http://metvuw.com/forecast/forecast.php?type=rain&region=nzni&noofdays=5 A little drizzle Friday morning, and should be ok till we race the weather back to J5's house on Sunday.
  19. Could I please see some pics of it erect.
  20. @HighLUX I don't want to tell you thing you likely already know, but are your wheel bearings sweet? I went through many on my 155 because it didn't have seals.
