Its probably too early to know what the traffic is like as far as logging trucks go, but they seemed to reckon that there were only a couple a day coming out currently, and only on the lower section of the road. With that in mind I think we'll wing it (with caution) and have a go at anticlockwise rotation. Will edit first post to reflect that in a bit. What about the jumping cow, any word on her time table? She was the second most deadly thing on the road tbh, after Tom that is. 2 1

Holla at cha boy if its incoherent gibberish, brain-fade going on. Post update is awesome, makes sense and has me audibly fizzing from the Bunghole. @Shakotom, @GuyWithAviators and I will most definitely be staying in the same place in Gisborne. Waikanae Beach Motel. They have ground floor/garden view units which have a good space out back to hide bikes. A little more than a hostel, but it's not a hostel. Seemed to be a few families etc there last year. There was another group that stayed there too. Old lady was happy as for us to keep the bikes safe out back and was most curious about what we were upto. Asked if we were part of those 'Vespa Jokers' that came a few months back. You can book now and pay on the day. All in all I've got a shiieeeet ton of things on in the 2nd half of this year so I'll be sorting this asap. Looking forward to Succelent group sharns/eats/rides/purple goannas.

RUNAMUCK
I havent even run my bike since I replaced the air box grommet. But all it needs is a bigger jet, and the spannie bolting on. My only other concern is that with a beer crate on the back it will.make bailing off impossible.

Fill crate with beer. Drink and ride down 'closed road' till you fall off. All questions shall then be answered. Enough distance (3-4 big bots) to try lean seize it before you fall off and find out if it traps you.
Raizer
Might not be a bad idea to reserve tables this time, if a succulent Chinese meal is desired again this time.

We stayed at 2 places last year and just met up at @Raizer's in the AM. Second night: Yes on the grass at the bach I think. @HighLUX? Alternatively Te Araroa Holiday Park, 15 minutes ride away. Bach will be more awesome for socialising etc I believe.

HighLUX
Whats your thoughts on BBQ breakfast on the friday morning @johnnyfive? Feed the crew before heading off into the wilderness, I was going to come down Thursday night and hammock under the trees if thats sweet so dont mind manning it to serve up a snag some onion eggs hashbrowns etc. Go with Callums idea of a $15-20 entry fee to cover bach hire breakfast feed and incidentals/fuel for the backup driver sorta thing. Any leftover funds can be donated to a local coast charity or something as thanks for allowing us hassle free pesting in their turf

Chris.QCR
Next one id like to plan is the Molesworth station and Rainbow station loop . Prob a similar distance to east Cape and mostly gravel with less towns.
igor
Having done a small part of that journey in a car I'd have to say you'd be fucking game to try it on scooters. That said it could also be quite fun in a big group. You'd need to pick your weather though.

Will figure out a bit closer to the time some kind of entry form and a rough koha amount to cover that kinda thing, can't imagine it'll be much
