440bbm
did wonder that but dont know enough about what its going on to work out if it will still supply enough fuel in GPH and worse case scenario is running it lean.....
ThePog
I have a wideband in it so not too worried about that. I might graft the gauge into the setup as well so i can see what the running pressure is.

There is a return to the tank but i am not using it, so maybe i should set it up with a return and a restrictor, which will probably reduce the pressure to more reasonable levels. This. I set up a lot of TQ carbs using a Facet and a Hilborn idle bypass. From memory the 2nd softest spring in the kit gives 1.5 psi. Bike carbs on alky you need volume not pressure. Probably the same on your setup. Ask the Nelson speedway parts suppliers for a used bypass.  if you need better accuracy I have a 0-5psi gauge I imported you could borrow. RUNAMUCK
One of those fuel flow pumps (in 1/4 6mm) couldn't flow enough fuel to feed my "mostly stock" (wink face) A15.

Given bigger lines the pump will push it through.
RUNAMUCK
I upgraded to 3/8, (including tank pick up) with a holley blue pump and the problems I was experiencing went away.
RXFORD
8 hours ago, ThePog said: Can anyone recommend a low pressure regulated fuel pump? I am getting low end overfuelling issues, I talked to Weber Specialists and he reckoned it had to be coming from high fuel pressure. He said DCNF's like 2.5psi. So I bought a cheapy gauge and a shithouse reg off AliX, and all I could get was 4.5 to 5psi out of the facet type pump installed. I am guessing the reg needs a higher input pressure to work effectively, but it is kindof terrible so I thought it might be better to get something proper. Â Any suggestions? Can you mod the facet for lower pressure by messing with the springs? Fitted a Derale 2.5-3psi pump in a mates z24 Navara a couple years back as the elec pump someone else fitted was overfueling. Can get them from CDL in Auckland.
kws
I'm running the black 015 in the Marina and it seems to go hard, appears to have no issues keeping up with the mighty 1750 and single SU.

There was a sticky non setting goo there originally as far as I can tell and the manual recommends renewing the "caulking cord" but I can't find any products with similar names that don't appear to be specifically for windows. Can anyone recommend something for this? https://totalbodyshop.co.nz/products/4m-butyl-rubber-sealant?omnisendContactID=637b04700db2c000172638f5&utm_campaign=campaign%3A+Nice+Products+Priced+to+Sell.+(674688566a5b613c235d7fde)&utm_medium=email&utm_source=omnisend  On sale today
ThePog
Another issue up for solvage... In the caravan I am building I have 4x linear actuators that lift the bed. The problem is that they are not synchronised and uneven loading means they are racking quite badly. The synchronised versions are $$$. So I want to solve it with smarts rather than money. They do not need to lift perfectly synchronised, just good enough. My current ideas are; Â - 4x mercury switches that check which corner is high/low and start or stop that motor (or the other motors) till back level. The problem is getting the wiring up into the lifted bit. It can be done but isnt tidy. Â - laser or ultrasonic rangefinders (mega cheap on AliX) running through an arduino. This is a pretty technical solution tho. Any other suggestions or comments?

Nominal
5 minutes ago, Unclejake said: Are you thinking scissor jacks too? LOL Â Hydraulics I reckon. Nah, was looking a linear slide measurers e.g. Thin High Precision 0.005mm Slim Linear Scale TTL 50 100 150 200 250 300 350 400mm 20x28mm Small Encoder Grating Ruler Sensor - AliExpress 1420 But this particular one only goes to 420mm, and would still need some sort of controller. Â Might be better to measure current on the drive motors?
h4nd
Have a squizz, see if the drive current is different. If so, then setting up a constant current drive for each might even up the speed
ThePog
Sorry I was paying attention but then the enthusiasm to take the engine out of the Fiat took over. The bed lifts up 950mm so it is out of the way during the day. Just the extended portion of the actuators are visible hence difficulty getting power/sensors up into the bed area. 17 minutes ago, h4nd said: Have a squizz, see if the drive current is different. The bought ones have hall sensors that count the revolutions and adjust accordingly.
h4nd
Well there you are, add a magnet, $1.80 hall effect sensor, $5 Ali ex motor drive, and con some mug into spending 10min writing Arduino software
