kyteler
//oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/41385-spencers-1950-chervrolet-styleline/ So much car for the money, so cool. I'm going to live my sled desires through you until I can get my own one/my entire life.

Spencer
For reference the roof needs to look like this:
kyteler
Also, I think the roof will look OK once you sit the sills level. It shares a similar gradient to the front screen really, I guess leveling the sill might make the rear incline a little more but I'll do chop at some point to see. Probably wait until you've got the front end on. I wouldn't be too worried about re-doing it anyway unless you wanted to go all out 3" tall window spec/destroy the cars shape completely. Edit: It looks as though that one has a slightly less taken out height wise too though, maybe an inch less.
Spencer
The roof isn't terrible man, but I would prefer it to be a bit lower at the back, the similar gradient to the front is what irks me. Way way down the list anyway, can be rolling it around in matty B epoxy primer and decide to do that later, be sweet to just drive it up and get it done. Same with the interior and making side glass all optional extras.
kyteler
It does have that sort of awkward "Plymouth" look about it with the current angles.
kyteler
It could definitely be worse though, it could look like this one: http://www.powerful-cars.com/php/chevrolet/1950-special-styleline-2door-business-coupe-custom.php
cletus
love this shape chev, good price for a 2 door one. front end appears to be HT with later discs (holdens got vented discs from hq-on) not 100% what the calipers are but they dont look like H series holden ones
kyteler
It's a 2 door convert, I believe (Speeno?) but still sweet.
glen
This is so awesome. Yeah roof chop is a little off , but mate you have a choped top custom in your driveway.

Toucan
You've got a whole lot of work ahead of you! Agree the roof doesn't slope down a whole lot like a typical sled but still looks dope as and will be better once its all together with front end etc

Dirty_Safari
Sweet score man. My Father-in-law has one of these. Its a 4 door '51 chev running a 383 SBC, 4 link rear end, Ford 9inch with LSD and a Jag front end with powersteering. I can scope you some pics if you want reference, Might be a good source of old timey knowledge? Also I think the Roof looks alright. leave it alone and make the car look like this.... Vintage Grumble
^ What that guy said, roof angle looks good, I think it suits the shape of the car.
