grunta
hey guys looking for info on certs for a cf bedford camper project im working on. just wondering about a few things as follows: do i need drive shaft loop for 2 piece driveshaft? it has a 186 in it, unsure if it was factory, lets say it was... do i need cert for motor ? lets say it wasnt and i say it was, still need cert? it does need re vinning as its de reg... ? someone enlighten me!!! Yowzer
If it's the same as the engine that the van came with from factory it won't need a cert or drive shaft loops. If it's not the same model engine that came in that van, even if it was released factory in another model of that van it will require a loop for each driveshaft and a cert. grunta
how can i tell if it was factory motor/if it came with holden 6?
Yowzer
Uh, dunno. Is there a plate with chassis and engine codes stamped on it anywhere? Usually there should be something in the engine bay stating engine type or size.
Yowzer
Otherwise, if it was dereg after '95 and you know the original plate number you should be able to Carjam it and it'll tell you the engine.

Rookie
VIN/COMPLIANCE - got vin number - failed compliance This is where you went wrong. You should have got your car vin assigned.
