Cool car bro. I love the hubcaps. Widened steels whilst keeping them would look sweet.

But that fake grill. Horrid. Glad to read that's going.

Looking forward to following progress on this. Hopefully an Imp road trip south soon. Must catch up.

Not a bad pre WOF result, so hopefully you are able to get it all legal shortly. Chuffed to see that you have removed that fake grill. It spoiled the classic Imp front end look in my opinion.

Thats a great result on the WOF, wont take much to get it sorted out. Also concur with the above, that grille was gross.

Great result!!! Congrats.

Going from that photo looking up at the sill/floor area it looks pretty solid! (bar a tiny hole in what is a collection point for road dust and damp)

These imps are made from good quality and quite thick steel from what I've seen.

Right. This engine is already getting on my tits. Open to engine swap ideas.

50-100hp, reliable, and carb. Ideas so far are EA81, Suzuki Carry, 1600 cortina.

I don't care about handling. 99% of my driving is in 100kph zones with long lazy corners.

Surprised no-one has suggested a rotary.

What's wrong with the old nail? Just wanting more power and reliability? A small Suzi sounds the go, or go electric with a Leaf power train?

I love rotaries but the prices for runners are moon money these days.

I don't really need more power. Just more gearing (VW box swap) and reliability. This imp engine is a decent runner but isnt really rural roads friendly. Would be perfect for in town.
