I'm out, fatigue issues still. If I can't do a couple of days driving a car then bikes are out of the question.

Also am a noob and double booked a South Island pest with a friend at the same time

I hope you enjoy your south island pest.  Tbh I'm semi fit and able bodied (well drink fit anyway) and I find this challange to be a drain too.

Fingers crossed for no hospital  visit this year!

I was just gonna get everyone to bring along twenty lousy dollars, for ease of collection/dispersal. Should cover one vehicle and whatever misc costs arise hopefully.

hey @johnnyfive / others who may have used this road recently, i came across a bit of boomer talkback discussing they were sealing the waikaremoana road. are they sealing the whole thing or just parts/patch work? i hope it remains as much gravel as possible

I'd be veeeeerrrrry surprised if they bothered to seal that road? Its common round these parts just to seal patches in front of buildings to cut down on dust, so that might be whats planned?

The iwi was looking into some bio-seal scheme using recycled something to seal the road. I'd suggest given the normal rate of progress in the area, we'll be sweet for a few more years yet.
