64valiant
No new engine in it yet Andrew. Is that one still holding together well? Off for a 100k ride with @mark105 and maybe @Beaver if his bike is tuned.

HighLUX
Went to go for the first test ride with the 15t sprocket on and the clutch was slipping as soon as it came on pipe! FUUUUUUU But luckily the clutch just needed a slight adjust to stop the slipping, will get out for a speed run tomorrow morning.

Popular Post BLIZZO
st-90 is all officially finished, penny pinchers are off on a 120km back road pohangina valley pest tomorrow so I can give it a good shakedown. Turned out the flickering headlight (even at high revs) was a dodgy Chinese reg/rec, Ben had the same problem, as I got a batch of 4 and they must have all been shit, weird silver ones I haven’t seen before. Anyway sorted now, doesn’t flicker (only at idle it does obvs) and the USB charger works a treat. I think I will bang a little toggle switch on in the headlight bucket so i can turn the headlight on and off. Fingers crossed nothing fucks out tomorrow, I already know I need to fix my poor mans scott chain Oiler / leaky output shaft seal
Truenotch
Got my cylinder back from the machine shop and plopped it back into place this evening. It runs a lot better than before! I'm going to play with headgaskets tomorrow to fine tune the squish and then head off to a straight road for a few plug chops. If it goes well then all I need to do is: brake shoes, front tyre and get the lights working properly / hard wire some shit.

Not sure how strong the alloy mounting frame will be so have to figure out all the points I can brace it to

Popular Post BLIZZO
So shakedown didn’t go so well. Aside from a flat rear tyre second gear has gone in this lifan 150, I’d say it either has worn dogs or a worn selector fork, either way I’m not pulling it apart as I just don’t have the time to get it sorted and then tested to be reliable. Last thing I wanted to do was pull apart the C50 to pull engine out as it likely won’t go back together ha, but it’s just an excuse to buy another 140 really. When I got the puncture and waiting for sparkle to go grab his Ute I pretty much pulled the engine on the side of the road, finished the swap over a few beers last night, different CDIs and looms meant a bit of a re wire. yx140 now installed. For some reason the lifan 150 blew the tail light and usd port, never had that problem with the trombone, thinking of adding a battery into this to smooth it out. Another test this arvo for 50km and it’s sorted, maybe a little rich spot mid throttle on the needle but it’s liveable. Just need to replace tail light and USB port and I’m good. Gets around 60-70 km per tank so I should be good for at least 120km with the fuel on me which should just suffice
