With a clean and stable 4.1V input signal you could simply exchange the input filter path against an optocoupler (see below for example).

With a Megasquirt setup, the tach circuit should work without modification using the units tach output though ;)

Yeah, but that's 3 days away and cost $40 in shipping haha. Transistor worked also :-)

Mikey, I'll have a look at that motor controller after summit. Been building bikes and racecars all week haha

flash dash! was that vacuum moulded/covered (or whatever it is) by dashboard restorations? doesnt look like it was just normally re-wrapped? either way it looks really good!

 

Yep, you got it. Dashboard Restos, Steve is a really nice chap. Real good to deal with.

One of the nicest dashboard in any car, ever I reckon, those humps, those humps, those humps....

 

Is it black of silver? Kinda hard to tell from the photo's.. I hope black :-).

 

Deffo black! So stoked with how it came out. Just can't wait to start putting it back together!
