BS5620
Wow nice build up. I'm quite jealous of your rack and pinion. I have been trying to set up my mk1 cortina for over a year now and your build makes it look easy!!! Great work. Nice choice of engine should be pretty sweet, will it be the 6speed gear box?? Valiant
Thanks. Ford making the Escort stuff so close to the Anglia dimensions has made it easyer, I have still had to do it twice though. What is giving you trouble with your Cortina? No mine is a 1.6 and 5 speed. The 1.8/6speed ones are selling for good money at the moment. Should be good though. EURON8
My god, this project has gone semi unnoticed by myself, always followed it but the whole idea behind it has finally clicked and have read it start to finish. SOOO sweet! One of my favourites to watch now! Cant wait to see her finished
RUNAMUCK
Love your work dude! best part is it wont have that anglia starter motor sound when the soleniod throws out. My family owned an Anglia estate when I was a kid, and I'll remember that sound as long as I live.
Valiant
Thanks everyone, I'm looking forward to seeing it done too. An estate you say? That would be cool to own now. Those old crash have a sound of their own, I think even new Anglias came with a half stuffed battery aswell.

coldturkey
Man I am ultra jealous of the amount of space in your shed/garage/workshop. That in itself would be enough to motivate me forever.

Valiant
Some sweet progress man! At this rate you will have it moving under its own power by xmas! Cheers, I don't see it happening though. I still have a lot to do. May be next Christmas. Man I am ultra jealous of the amount of space in your shed/garage/workshop. That in itself would be enough to motivate me forever. Yeah I love my large industrial building too. Thanks. Hi, what was the rego of the beast? Looks like my first car, CT1963. Its AL.... Pity it would be awesome if another OS member used to own it. I am constantly ashamed of how terribly shit I am at everything automotive compared to people such as yourself on here who are fucking amazing. High praise mate, you'll make me blush. I'm a mechanic so I had better be OK at working on cars. ^ I agree, I wish pete was my father sometimes Love you too Glen, you can be one of my sons if you want. Can you work in with the my other kids?
andy
Anglia is looking great. Awesome work. Are you going to keep with an original interior and steel wheels? I was about to ask what you do for a crust but I just saw that in the last post. Very envious of that big shed!
Valiant
Hi Andy. Yeah I am going to gut the interior ie remove the rear seat but leave the crusty door cards etc in the car. No one would be able to sit in the back anyway as the driving position is moving back to match the fire wall. I have a couple of old low back race/bucket seats in Auckland I just need to stump up the money to freight them down or try and get them on a plane as child seats when I come up over xmas. Yes the widened steels will be the permanent wheels for the Anglia
BlownCorona
surly there's an os member coming down with a bit of space at some point, could have the seats here for next to nothing. also, this garage made the valiant look small, and when i saw it outside i was shocked
