Yeah I looked into using that sump and those mounts, but as the crossmember sits in a different place in commodores nothing was suitable. I can't remember what was wrong though, I should look again just to make sure. I'm not sure if the engine/box is the same as the sunbirds. I haven't looked at them either but I have a feeling that they may run the same 4 cylinder 2.0L as the VK commodore?If so they are just a shortened 202/183 or whatever, so not an family 2 opel engine, so not suitable for use here. Sam said he'll be hooking it up and towing it down in what ever state its in. Hopefully that state will be "going and on a trailer".. rather than "on a hoist and missing parts" No way, deffinately not doing gemini front end now. I did want to when I first got it, mainly because you can't get them here so I'd have the only one. I know now I'd never be able to bring myself to rip the chevette front end of this one I'll just make it better. A full bumper and oil cooler hanging out the front might do the trick.
