Steelies
Beaver, Joe has your struts etc as you may well know, oh by the way Grindy McGrindingEverything, i know my welding isn't no pro job but maybe refrain from grinding flush tig welds below flush till you've had em tested! Beaver
lol yeh I was thinking about that the other day and that I may have dug myself a hole there....will see what tester man has to say. Only way around it would have been to get them tested twice as I had to grind the struts slightly to get the sleeves on to figure out the right height of the seats. Poo
Double check that you actually need a driveshaft hoop with your certifier. My car didnt need one because it was the original engine with minor mods and im not making a buzzillion whores powers.
Beaver
He said yes. Its not the original motor/its bigger than the original
Seedy Al
Ok. About drive shaft loop. Do not buy a universal one. They are utter shit and you will be struggling to get it sit nice enough that it wint be dragging on the ground. Just buy some steel. I will go halfs in a length if you want. I have ysed up the galf length u had already.

Goat
Oh. I'll go 3rds in resourses to build driveshaft loops too. I need juan for cert. Can we do cut off steam pipe loops like 'ol VG over there.
Beaver
Get VG to send down some off cuts? Only issue I can see is making it fit up inside the tunnel/a big hammer will solve the problem. Them just weld on some tabs to suit. The more I think about me having ground down the welding the more I think Ill have to get it redone. Fuck. Testament
never grind a weld unless you really really must for a very good reason
Beaver
The reason was to fit the sleeve over the strut. The weld itself was/is sweet, it kinda got caught up in the grindfire as everything was uber tight. Lesson learnt, if man says no then ill slap myself and beg manu to reweld.

RUNAMUCK
If you're after an off the shelf hoop, talk to Craig at proparts Napier. Mention you're on nzdatsun, and he'll look after you. He's a full blown GC.
