Truenotch
Mine just made 137kw / 185hp on blacktop quads with a G4 storm. I think there's more power up top, but it goes bloody well.

flyingbrick
bro please tell us more about casting those adaptors. I'm keen to know the reasons for the shape of ya plug as its way different to the final item.
Brennan
the Mould above had the extra bits sticking out the ends to locate the "Core" The Core is to create the hollow intake holes, and is created from the same sand that is used for around the rest using a separate mould that i didn't take a photo of Other than that it should look exactly like the finished item. This image may help explain the process.
Rolla Beams
hi there. what is the angle on which the ITB's must be on?
Truenotch
The ITB's can be on any angle, but square with the angle of the port is desirable. An easy way to work this out is to use the standard centre plate from the Altezza manifold (the part that mounts between the manifold and head). Seedy Al
wow this ke70 is so freaken sweet dude. I just love it aye, and all the bits your doing. good shit That manifold is so boss, its rare to see someone doing something like casting on here. Wish i knew more about it. Only sand casting I have ever done was back in third form haha

Truenotch
It's definitely going to be fun to drive! Much more so than any road-spec evo.

drftnmaz
awesome work man this is prob of no help but late ke70 (non vented) hubs, backing plates, brakes etc fit onto 86 struts (they are the same struts) i still run these in my drift corolla with over 200kw, but with decent pads, and replace the discs every season cause they wear thin, only track i've noticed fade is puke
Brennan
That great news. Everything I had read said they don't fit. Was going to wait till te struts arrived and machine up new hubs of I had to. Cheers!
drftnmaz
yea i went through it a little while ago, had a customer with ae86 everything and struts were a abortion so i remade using some late ke70's struts i had as spares.. i may have some late model hubs kicking around if you wanted to adapt some other brakes? Brennan
I was under the impression that all ke70 stuff was a little smaller. Including the shocks. By later model, you do mean the 1981-86?
ryanfels
All the late model ke70 stuff is the same as ae86s except they dont have the vented brakes Slant nose and flat nose (not the sunken type) are the late models
Brennan
Perfect. Can't wait for the hsd coilovers to arive now and see what fits.
Dell'orto
This is looking really quite awesome. Kinda wish I'd gone this route instead, but knowing me it would be even further from completion than it currently is
