edit: started modifying post to meet grinderfest entry requirements

we decided to build one of these steven had seen on you tube so we did some braining

as it turned out after we started it he found out the one he saw was a 4 stroke, and this

one was running on hope and luck.

"before pics" but you all know what a bike looks like

also some more random bikes came and went over the few weeks but they wernt noteworthy

b001f.jpg

we made some stuff we needed and cut the heads off, did some things,

banged them togther.carbutttor rotating plates, exhaust stand offs, head sandwhich plate,

crush tubes & jillyz adaptors with timing slots, plug shims, blh blah

one of the carburttors butterflys was naffed as you can see, so we made a fixture

to hold a su rv8 butterfly and cut a new one out of the middle.

b007h.jpg

everything machined away leaving the 2 locating nubs, worked supisingly well.

b008u.jpg

motor assembeled & tdc's timed. showing exhaust standoffs going into compression fittings,

worked really well, you can see the start of mk1 throttle setup (throttle was the hardest thing

in the build) also you can see we orginally used bike gears, (and direct drive)

that all exploded on first startup. later on you can see its been replaced with heaps heavyer

stuff and a centrifugal clutch.

You must send in three pictures

· A picture of the bike, pile of parts or metal, before you started the build

· A picture of the finished (or nearly finished) article

· A picture of the builder in the shed, bedroom or kitchen where the bike was built

We also need a short write up (around 100 words) telling us what you have built; why you built it; what was your inspiration; how you’d like to use it; and if you’d do it again.
