I never liked these cars much till about 2/3 years ago and they just growing on me. There is a girl who works at local united vid- she rocks round in a standard one complet with tatty bits and rust. I don't think she realises she has is the coolest girl in town. I asked her about it and her dad owns a Viva. Fucking good on him for getting her into old cars- they rule!

we used to hoon one of these in the late 90's it was epic with a massive bonnet scoop and skull/crossbones on the doors... also please install civic distributor for epic ignition reliability.

there are a few different ways to do it above is just one method, i reckon the electronic ignition was the best mod i did on my mini.

FYI the EN1 civic dizzy and external ignitor pretty much run the cooper s advance curve.

Cool- good to see it getting love. I have been watching these recently and have turned Hannah from disliking them to liking them = another car on my want list. There is a mint blue one parked around our block every day- its called bluebell. Looks sweet. And local girl at united video rocks to work in a beat up old 1100- sooooo cool.

I missed the auction end on one down in Chch. It sold for $360 with reg on hold and a dud clutch but no rust - how cheap is that!!!!

Cheap motoring in these days of not so cheap fuel.

^ they've dropped the zinc content in that recently which a series cams and followers aren't keen on. the old boy runs penrite in his, it's a 20w60, though, but comes in a 5litre botytle which is the correct volume for minis and morris 1100/1300 stz, and is still high zinc content.
