Saw your update and the max use brake pads. If the Rotors are chewed up buy new ones from Super Cheap. They are $164 each for the DBA ones. I have bought a couple of sets, they come with new wheel studs, you just need bearings.

In my view not worth stuffing round with old junk.

Weirdly the rotors look near new, certainly lower miles than the pads.

We have master cylinder, front caliper kit, front pads, softlines and rear brake cylinders incoming.

Hopefully that will be enough to get the brakes functional. Will need rear drums and shoes eventually but not for test drives on our private test track.

ive been taking the PBR cast iron single piston calipers apart and the slides were all pretty seized up, and the pistons are pretty solidly in there, so ill soak them with all the other bits and try pump the pistons out with the new master when it arrives.

If that doesn't work an upgrade on the calipers is probably cheaper and better than refreshing these ones

The ol' air compressor in the port works well on gettin the pistons out.  The pistons are chromed, but not very thick so expect the may or may not clean up.

Yes. Effective and less exciting than air…

Had Fiat pistons ricochet around the garage at my old place! Always used an old brake pad or block o' wood since, or the grease gun if they are super tight.

However, the bleeeders on these are just a bit too girthy for my grease gun, i may need to just force it on (oooo eeerr)

Ka te pai, dont be ashamed of being concerned, thanks for looking out for us,

yes all there they are installed, they are small diameter and black zinc plated like the nuts so a bit hard to see.

Awesome, have seen a few vehicles come though the shop lately missing spring washers/split pins etc, and couldn't see any in the pics.

One of many issues scrolling with a phone screen lol.

Progress is looking mint, sad to hear about the old boy.

Anything fits with enough brute force and ignorance!

Typically , the issue is that the hole is too big for what im trying to stick in it, not the other way around

Nice update.

Hydraulic lifters sound a bit ticky?

Coincidentally someone left this comment on my ticking 186 Youtube video just recently (a video uploaded in 2019)
