azzurro Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Yeah, possibly engine just needs a few heat cycles and some actual driving to decrud the lifters or something but for now it starts pretty much if you breath on the key and idles nice. (in the video it was first start for weeks and we forgot where the choke pull was) Engine and box will come out for a proper clean and a going over at some point 3 Quote
igor Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Now that you the correct front seat you'll be able to set up the shifter on the column where it belongs. Quote
azzurro Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Appreciate the sentiment, but its not happening, the reason why this car has this engine and box in the first pace is why its getting any love at all Besides that will need to source and install a 3 speed manual or auto box, and nope. Quote
igor Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Roger that. I had forgotten that the box was not the original three speed. 1 Quote
Kiwibirdman Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Nice work on the wheel arch. You forgot to mention that from the factory all those bit were somewhat welded together and left in bare steel. A good bath of fish oil when its finished will keep it good for another 50 years. 2 Quote
Tiger Tamer Posted December 5 Posted December 5 and then a pic of round 27 of 58 fill 'n sands, still a few wobbles to smooth out... And I thought it was just me that had to go through this slow painfull process. I feel much better now. Nice work. It's good to see another old HQ Holden being repaired. For the amount that were built you rarely see them anymore. 2 Quote
