Plans are to hit it with the lowering stick, yeet those ugly aftermarket MAK wheels and generally tidy it up further. It has good bones and being a '99 it has the last update treatment (front end, side panels etc)

My Imp (and my previous V6 Viva) have a tenuous connection in that they share the same ignition coils.

do not ask me why, but this post stuck in my brain from the moment i saw it a decade ago. and i thought about it every time i saw a gto. Photobucked ruined the gag, but it was a photo of a gto doing a skid @glen (ugly comment wasnt related to gto i dont think)

I remember when fuel told me these had transverse engines (iirc) and for some reason that blew my mind in a wtf kind of way cos always assumed they were rwd based on 'the look' and supra/300zx vibes

First job was to tackle the variable presence two-piece crank harmonic balancer:

 

Thankfully had access to the crank pulley from the red flooded GTO myself & Damien parted out a few years ago so was able to slap that on even if just temporary.

Also gave it a good polish up, removed the large decal on the rear window and swapped on clear fender indicators:

swapped the Evo X BBS's over from the Diamante cause they had the correct 245/40 tyre size needed - the original MAK 17" wheels it came on were wearing an incorrect 235/45 so who knows how long the speedo/odo was over-reading the speed/kms travelled.

I think it's because the finish of the BBS is a similar shade of silver to the car that they just seem to suit it better. I put those MAK's on the Diamante and also for some reason they just seem to work on it too, the lighter silver seems to pop against the white, and you can more easily see the brakes which seem to stick out now

This isn't terrible (unlike every other GTO I see). Evo wheels go good.

The TT literally leaves no room in the engine bay haha, so many pipes and clutter. Plus no way I would have been able to pick up a TT in this condition for what I paid for mine

Hacksaw some holes through the bonnet and then claim you know more than everyone. It's the GTO way.

That looks like an absolute nightmare to work on
