Some how there is never any time available to do anything with them. Maybe when children move out an area/room can be designated my playroom and I can get back into it. Always found the lack of available kits of "normal" cars an issue in the late '70s/early '80s. Plenty of exotica but almost nothing that you'd see on the road every day. Wish we'd got the full Airfix range of 1/32 stuff here in New Zealand. All the British car goodness. 2 Quote
Lord Gruntfuttock Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Built a 1/24th messerschmitt when I was at school. Would look good next to a kubelwagen... 2 Quote

I have a box of kitsets I've hoarded over the years for when I get old. Prized possessions are 2 aoshima Mad Max Falcons. Also, I like that this thread stands apart from Diecasts. Diecasts are gay. Kitsets involve real building and modding. 2 Quote

Popular Post a.craw4d Posted July 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted July 3, 2019 This is my first 1:24 car model I've just done recently. No mods, just a copy of the wife's first car. 16 Quote
a.craw4d Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 And this one I've lowered a scale 3 inches and dialed in a bit of camber front and rear. Need to find some suitable wheels for it. I still need to cut out the top of the wheel wells on the chassis piece so the wheels can turn. 3 Quote
ajg193 Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I've got a new in box AE92 FXGT Tamiya model that I'm hoping will one day be worth a dollar. 2 Quote

I'd probably be willing to part with the MK-III if they were something that floated your boat. 2 Quote
a.craw4d Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 @kyteler could be keen. I was after a 5 spoke style in 15's to match my car but those MK-III's do look cool. I'll look into it tonight. I also have this nos Datsun 510 sss kit that I'm undecided if I'll build or just hold onto for a while. 2 Quote
