Does anyone have an idea which water pumps are the best for a 1kz? I've been reading and it seems genuine Toyota pumps leak from new, any ideas? cheers

GMB pumps have never given me any issues, there's one on my 1kz and I've fitted them to plenty of other cars.

I've recently bought a KZN130, 1KZ-TE manual. Pretty keen on prolonging a cracked head for as long as possible, what's the go with installing an EGT gauge? Where is the ideal spot for the probe? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere here before but I can't find it.

You won't have any EGT issues with a stock engine. Flush / recore the radiator, flush the block, replace the viscose fan hub and you'll be mint.

And if it has EGR, blank that shit off.
