Do you have to connect to the main, or bridge over it? Just curious on why you had to dig it up?

the pipe was cracked so we had to pay to replace it.

even though it belongs to water care. and we all pay for the upkeep of the pipe network. and its their responsibility to maintain the network. we have to pay to fix their pipe.

before we can build a house over it.  

 

and we will have to bridge over it with the foundations.

so the drain layers worked until 1am to get the new pipe installed. so i didn't get much sleep Wednesday night. 

but its done and dusted.

there is still a pile of clay to be removed from the front yard and the digger is still here but thats minor stuff.

after the drain was finished i did some more smash. tomorrow ill take down the last piece of wall (which will take all of about 10 minutes) and then clean up the mess.

 it fell apart as they were getting the the trench shoring into place. 

they couldn't even walk on it.

i pulled the last of the fence down on Saturday and tidied up a bit.

cant do much else really. the digger will be here on Thursday to remove topsoil and get the fence posts out then next week it all kicks off proper.

Whats the temperature like in your temporary accommodation?

as long as you're sitting in front of the heater its great.

na its not to bad as yet. we'll see how it goes when it gets really cold but so far so good.

when i got home from work some vandals had tied string all over the place. i tried to shoo them away but they just laughed and said they would be back tomorrow!!

 

and not only that! they said that on Thursday they were going to dig holes and then fill them up with concrete!!
