Will worry about attachments etc another day. Just looks good sitting there atm.

That’s a very nice looking anvil, it’s a forged Peater Wright from the 19th century, the top face is high carbon steel forge welded to the body.

Il probably weld the top part (can spin it around which is funny, but gives it a little more play and not really needed). Otherwise its ok when the bike is jacked up in the right spot. i jacked it right off the ground and walked around in the shed for a while and it didnt fall off, most stable when the front wheel is on the ground and taking a bit of weight

The gears of the jack naturally have a couple mm play in them

i dont do that because im not gona wait around while my drill charges every time lol. could use a ratchet but a screw driver through the hole is how i usually do it
