Brock-Lee Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Such a cool project to turn up on here, Ive always had a soft spot for these. Only thing I don't dig is the 3.8 haha a mild 350 would make it like 136839341823x more awesome. Quote
Threeonthetree Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 the 3.8 haha Jase would be proud Good to see you getting back into a car you've had tucked away for years.I should probably make a start too Quote

Toucan Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I missed this til today! Wicked project man, oldschool definitely doesn't have enough big old american customs. Quote
Sparkle Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 v. v. cool man! Look forward to updates. Quote
rxtoy Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Love what you're doing man, chevy + bags = win!!! Did you know you're gonna get massive diff pinion angle swing with the unequal bar lengths though? It'll put a lot of extra pressure on your uni joints, and mean you need quite a long slipper joint in the rear section of the driveshaft. Have a read through this article, then feel free to throw me some questions if you want. I'm definitely not an expert but ive read a lot about it and helped out with a few builds, including my own. http://www.minitruckinweb.com/tech/susp ... ewall.html Cheers Matt Quote
Brennan Posted December 24, 2011 Author Posted December 24, 2011 yea the rear suspension geometry isn't the greatest. the drive shaft is a two piece and has enough slip to work with the change in pinion angle tho Quote
