  1. We will be using the covered carpark which is situated directly below the Countdown Supermarket, as pictured above. The Countdown shopping complex is on the corner of Mt Wellington Highway and Penrose Road, Mt Wellington. Food options within the complex: - Burgerfuel - Pizza Hut - Dominos - Rack & Roll Ribs Food options across the road: - Sal's Pizza - Waves Seafood (Fish and Chips) - Chunky Chicken Food Bar We pretty much all go to Burgerfuel though. They offer us a free drink from the Coke range with every Burger and Chips combo purchased. FIRST MEET?? If you are new to these meets then here are a few points that may help; Most people usually show up between 7:00pm and 8pm-ish. We'll be parked in the covered carpark below Countdown . Remember its always a casual affair, a place to yarn to mates and make new ones. An Oldschool car is not required at all, but if you've got one on the road then bring it along. Doesn't need to be flash or special. RULES AND THE BORING STUFF!! Basically these are in place so we have a fun and friendly meet and leave the carpark clean and tidy like we were never there. Take your rubbish away with you or put it in a bin, Use the public bins provided throughout the carpark or the ones for the food businesses themselves. Don't be a messy cunt. Smokers please don't dispose of your butts on the ground! Again, don't be a messy cunt. Be a good one. No alcohol consumption at all at this event. We are not allowed to consume alcohol on the premises. You are welcome to invite a few mates, but please note you are 100% responsible for their behaviour If you belong to other clubs and feel they might be keen to come check out our meet then that's cool but please PM Threeonthetree, Shakotom or BDA780 for permission before inviting them. NO Skids or Reckless/Dangerous driving. We're in a covered carpark that echoes so don't be a dick and rev your engine unnecessarily because then you will get us kicked out. MOST OF THESE ARE COMMON SENSE. WE WILL PROVIDE A FEW GENTLE REMINDERS WITH THE NEW RULES BUT REPEAT OFFENDERS MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE. If you have any suggestions or input for the meets then PM Threeonthetree, Shakotom or BDA780 Thanks!!
  2. That is an american cable. Neutral is white and phase/live is black. The earth is bare.
  3. Sorry mate, I really don't have any spares at all. Just the bike. Which reminds me, I should probably snap up the next parts bike spec F5 I find.
  4. You've done it wrong. Now that that's out of the way, great job. Love the colour and the execution. Pretty much perfect tbh.
  5. Have changed the thread title as I have a few other small bikes that should probably go in here. First up is my 1967 Yamaha F5. I ride this as much as possible and it's been absolutely dependable. It's sluggish off the mark due to the lack of torque and 49cc engine but it will top 70km/h eventually: 20180101_123155 by Neal OnTheTree IMG_1473 by Neal OnTheTree Next, I have a couple of Suzuki B120s. One runs and the other is for parts. I'll get around to them eventually: 20171222_195316 by Neal OnTheTree, on Flickr And lastly, I have this horrible photo of my '74 Suzuki GT185. It's an L model so the first to gain a front disc brake: 29745936_10209296527490825_942430002_n by Neal OnTheTree, on Flickr It also does lots of gearbox wees as the drive sprocket seal is chooched. Will just sit on them for a while as I extend my garage and do other adult things like fix my house. But I'll crack on with either the B120s next or possibly a certain CT90 that @GuyWithAviators gave me a new kickstart lever for.
  6. Not 100% sure to be honest. I think the sump is the same as an early Honda City, in which case ripping it open accidentally wouldn't be too much of a major. Will have a look nek week when I am down there.
  7. If you take the carb off (four bolts) there is plenty of room. As it sits, there's space but it's not spacious nor very tight. Just not a huge amount. I think it's an 8mm thread as there are only two fasteners to hold the housing on but can't quite remember. @- i5oogt - might be able to have a look but he's probably pretty busy with Nats prep.
  8. I'll bring a rusty trailer to chop. See you there.
  9. Did that time. Touch down next Thursday night, then straight to Smash Palace bike night. Civic is still in the same predicament it was in.
  10. Some more Moto-Social information: https://www.facebook.com/themotosocial/?hc_ref=ARQQrIUmGEjYRPdqhlPjW0qd32o95iXt44HjBJrNuHHF91gUzaLt7i1pYvLMGyEI3I0
  11. We'll be riding to the Auckland Oldschool monthly meet tomorrow. 3 of us so far. edit: make that four
  12. We all have @GuyWithAviators to thank for that gem. Here's another photo from a recent Greenlane gathering we had. This ended with a ride through Newmarket, the CBD and out to Mission Bay.
  13. A few of us @GuyWithAviators @Shakotom @Tumeke have been regularly organising and participating in scooter/small motorcycle rides in Auckland. We're all based in the Manukau/Mt Wellington area so usually start around there but We've had a few other GCs come along and they've had a great time too @mo999 @Masonh38. We're pretty low key and tend to ride on weekday evenings or on the weekend. Essentially, whenever we feel like it. It's already a regular thing but if any of you other guys and girls would like to go for a ride then just post it up in here. We've hooned all throughout the city, had an inner city multi storey carpark race to the sky, performed tunnel braps, frequent Mission Bay (even have our own little spot there now) and pretty much go wherever we feel like. This is not affiliated with Oldschool.co.nz in any way. It's just a bunch of us, many of whom are Oldschool members, taking our bikes out for a spin with mates regularly. Because that's what it's all about. So take part in Auckland Slow Scooter Events Sometimes And remember that if you don't know what to do in order to enjoy your evening in this shithole of a supercity, think ASSES Also, join up to the Moped NZ page on Facebook for more small bike goodness.
