Yes and thanks.

I had my cam belt snap about 2 weeks ago. 190k ks not a bad effort. so im actually motivated to do stuff.

My frame rails were fucked so i cut them out and replaced with 2mm folded sheet.

I got front camber arms and they bottomed out on the chassis a lot so i notched the chassis

Gearbox bolted up all good, as well as the accessories from the 1.6.

My bash plate has been making it self useful, the gap between the subframe and the sump has a dent in it. can sort of see.

How i would like to roll that height daily.

Anyway. The turbo i had was fucked so i have a t3/t4 to replace it. hoping it will spool by 4k. external wastegate aswell. ill grab some pictures at some point. replaced the cambelt and waterpump on the 1.8.

Didnt like my wheel locking up when trying to go to full lock so iv cut and stiched the front guards and i can go full lock without rubbing in the above state. It looks yuck though so i wont post any pics.

Should be ordering new springs on monday, need to make up a coolant block for the back of the engine and sort a few other things then it can go in.

Iv also cleaned the wiring in the car a lot and stripped the interior.

yeah.

and rear wheel gap

How low are you planning to run? Suspension in mind? I would like to run cheap and nasty stuff but stance keep appearing as something I want a lot haha.

Fuck that's a large turbo...

Ill get it as low as i can legally and try for a cert then once all is well drop it as low as i can without it bottoming out to much.

Im getting springs custom made from nz spring works, 12k and 100mm front and 11k and 90mm rear. should allow me to sit on or below bottomed out.

And yes. boost lag will be lulz.

Will that have enough travel to get a cert? They normally want a certain amount of droop and compression.

at a certable height it should do, will have 20mm travel there i think.

engines in.

has about the same clearance for the turbo.

springs will hopefully come this week, muffler to, waiting on a bolt and oil fitting iv had to get made to be finished then i can bolt all the drive line in properly and route the turbo oil lines.

still lots of shit to do unfortunately but i think it should be drivable within a couple of weeks. if all goes well.

Front mount is on, radiator is in, clutch is all bolted up, driveline is bolted in.

Started making the intercooler piping.

Looks like the coolant lines are going to be a pain.

intake mani and bottom coolant line are both getting some bits welded up, still waiting on shocks and a muffler to arrive.

also went to bolt up the oil feed line for the turbo and it just sort shat itself. not exactly sure why but ill need to get it fixed. Cheap chinese shit eh.

Thanks :)

super huge dumpy arrived today.

I wasnt expecting it to be so small and was going to mount it on a mad angle pointing out to the left which is why i took the towbar off.

so mounted it up

Tacked up the rear part of the exhaust today

the muffler is sitting on the top of the jack so its quite tucked up.
