Dusty
Yes and thanks. I had my cam belt snap about 2 weeks ago. 190k ks not a bad effort. so im actually motivated to do stuff. My frame rails were fucked so i cut them out and replaced with 2mm folded sheet. Rails before left by Dustybike, on Flickr Rails before right by Dustybike, on Flickr Rails ground out by Dustybike, on Flickr Rails in by Dustybike, on Flickr I got front camber arms and they bottomed out on the chassis a lot so i notched the chassis Front notch by Dustybike, on Flickr Geometry lol Geomotry lol by Dustybike, on Flickr Finished off the exhaust mani, also got a proper oil drain done in the sump. Dirty manifold by Dustybike, on Flickr Gearbox bolted up all good, as well as the accessories from the 1.6. Gearbox by Dustybike, on Flickr My bash plate has been making it self useful, the gap between the subframe and the sump has a dent in it. can sort of see. Bash plate by Dustybike, on Flickr And how its sits right now with no suspension in it. no shocks by Dustybike, on Flickr no shocks 2 by Dustybike, on Flickr How i would like to roll that height daily. Anyway. The turbo i had was fucked so i have a t3/t4 to replace it. hoping it will spool by 4k. external wastegate aswell. ill grab some pictures at some point. replaced the cambelt and waterpump on the 1.8. Didnt like my wheel locking up when trying to go to full lock so iv cut and stiched the front guards and i can go full lock without rubbing in the above state. It looks yuck though so i wont post any pics. Should be ordering new springs on monday, need to make up a coolant block for the back of the engine and sort a few other things then it can go in. Iv also cleaned the wiring in the car a lot and stripped the interior. yeah. and rear wheel gap gap by Dustybike, on Flickr

I would like to run cheap and nasty stuff but stance keep appearing as something I want a lot haha.Fuck that's a large turbo... Ill get it as low as i can legally and try for a cert then once all is well drop it as low as i can without it bottoming out to much. Im getting springs custom made from nz spring works, 12k and 100mm front and 11k and 90mm rear. should allow me to sit on or below bottomed out. And yes. boost lag will be lulz. Truenotch
Will that have enough travel to get a cert? They normally want a certain amount of droop and compression.
Dusty
Will that have enough travel to get a cert? They normally want a certain amount of droop and compression. at a certable height it should do, will have 20mm travel there i think. engines in. ugly bay by Dustybike, on Flickr coolant route on the back of the engine. coolant route by Dustybike, on Flickr and hood clearance engine clearance by Dustybike, on Flickr has about the same clearance for the turbo. springs will hopefully come this week, muffler to, waiting on a bolt and oil fitting iv had to get made to be finished then i can bolt all the drive line in properly and route the turbo oil lines. still lots of shit to do unfortunately but i think it should be drivable within a couple of weeks. if all goes well. Dusty
Went outside for the first time in a month today. Outside front by Dustybike, on Flickr Outside back by Dustybike, on Flickr Front mount is on, radiator is in, clutch is all bolted up, driveline is bolted in. Started making the intercooler piping. Looks like the coolant lines are going to be a pain. intake mani and bottom coolant line are both getting some bits welded up, still waiting on shocks and a muffler to arrive. also went to bolt up the oil feed line for the turbo and it just sort shat itself. not exactly sure why but ill need to get it fixed. Cheap chinese shit eh. punkoutnz
Shit looks so cash! Intercooler looks mint. You could rotate the compressor housing around and run the hot side IC piping down through the guard behind the passenger side light, that's how mine is run.
