kierbear
basisnz are good, especially if u cbf measuring for how much you will need. they didnt have avenger rubbers so i emailed them and they told me i could use escort rubbers, told me exaclty how much i would need for each windscreen and everything! the only problem was then convincing smith&smith that they were going to be any good for my car, which they were.

Indiana_Jones
Has anyone brought carpets through Basis? The prices are the same as autodec for the same set, are they autodec carpets or is this just the free market in action? I found Auto Dec to be cheaper by about $70 on the Carpet for my Torana Quoted $275 by Autodec and $345 by Basis Plus Autodec is local +1 for Autodec. Got a set of carpet for my landcrab from them and they did a great job
1ton
+1 for Autodec. Got a set of carpet for my landcrab from them and they did a great job Another vote for AutoDec here, just got my new carpet set for the Valiant and very happy with price and quality/service (though I did ask for info on a complete rubber seal kit for the Val and never got any reply so might have to go Rare Spares)? hood
Hi guys I need to look into a new windscreen rubber/gasket for my 82 Toyota pickup I found this one on ebay that I'm considering, do you think it would be a good buy? http://www.ebay.com/itm/79-80-81-82-83- ... 41&vxp=mtr Also I paid a visit to a local glass shop and they said they could make one to fit, which would be a better fit, custom? Or OEM? Thanks James

Bistro
Looks to be a good buy - be interested to see what shipping is. I'm looking for some outer weatherstrips for my RN30 lux and see basis have Toyota ones http://www.basisnz.co.nz/Products/Doors/Weatherstrips/WEATHERSTRIP-%28216-042%29.aspx and notice they have windscreen rubbers for $220 http://www.basisnz.co.nz/Products/Window-rubber-seals/Windscreen-seal/SEAL-%28218-706%29.aspx so `$50 USD would be all g
Bistro
Just found these http://www.ebay.com/itm/79-80-81-82-83-TOYOTA-TRUCK-DOOR-GLASS-REVEAL-MOLDING-WEATHERSTRIP-68160-89104-/181047682076?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1980|Make%3AToyota|Model%3APickup&hash=item2a2748641c&vxp=mtr#shId so would be intersted in finding out what shipping would be like - you should prob get these as well as windscreen as I know mine are buggered so yours prob are too. I will prob just get mine off Basis as I need new ones now rather than later however called them before and went straight to answerhone - will ring in the morn
rembrandt
Scotts Old Auto Rubber in Aus have good rubber/seal products also. I bought a full rubber kit for my old Mazda. You can buy by the meter or buy pre-cut to suit. http://www.scottsoldautorubber.com.au/
nicklm
I got some mk1 door seals from palmside a couple years back and I'm not super stoked as the doors don't close easily without a good slam.. Question, am I supposed to re-set the door latch or something like that? I've tried lightly hitting the seam back that the rubber sits on but that didn't really work.. Cheers
tortron
bend the seam back until it fits a real pain when its got new paint on it
ajg193
What's the best way to slow the degradation of door/window seals, short of putting the car in a garage?
