  1. I think the 1/24 scale aspect of this thread went away a long time ago lol
  2. Oh yeah, I do intend to 'seal' it all with a clear coat, but just wanted to check if any were needed prior to decaling and weathering etc. Going by what i have seen online, it sounds like the idea of the clear coat is to lock it all in place and protect it down the line etc.
  3. In the past I've just slapped the decal onto the paint directly and have never done any clear coats.
  4. Nearly done with the wheels for the stug, just need to find that last bit of motivation. As we're nearing the end of construction on her, what is the best practice to weathering? does one finish the paint and then do a gloss coat and then do decals? followed up by weathering and then a sealing coat in matt gloss? Cheers
  5. How about nooooo. /looks like you're doing a smashing job, don't need a scrub like me getting in the way.
  6. Watched Patton last night, keen for some more tanks.
  7. Cheers, having a bit of a play, donno how historically accurate it all is etc, but learning some lessons as I'm getting back into the groove of modelling. The airbrush is proving a good investment, glad i got it.
  8. This is why I keep my dreams small, like so: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/chevrolet/other/listing/4481721865?bof=SXaDZccp
  9. Don't you threaten me with a good time!
  10. Keen for real life bren gun carrier
  11. Got my stencils and have had a first go with the brown, green next. Also slowly working my way through the wheels.
  12. Didn't know that was a thing, cheers Was thinking of one of these, looks like a wheel stencil with a rubber inset to get the right fit https://www.bnamodelworld.com/military-vehicles-tanks-paint-masks-stencils-royal-models-rm358
  13. I have decided I am too spastic to paint the rubber portions of the wheels for the stug, so will go and find a stencil to use instead. That is all.
  14. Awesome shit mate, get her all sorted. /giz to me when you're sick of it lol Will be fun to watch her come to life again.
  15. I'll see if i can get some photos of the parts tray soon. Yeah i have a 1/35th bren gun carrier i got a couple years ago from acorn models (just grabbed it because i was pinning for a model but wasn't going to actually build it at the time), thinking of doing it north Africa spec, similar to what my grandfather would've driven (i believe he was stationed in Palestine in 1945/46). Mate of mine who is a huge modeller told me the number of kits a man owns is 'n + 1' lol.
  16. This insane thing has a full interior... Dude at the shop asked me to make an offer, so it's not really my fault.
  17. Ambush camo stencils on order, let's see what China has to offer. Also went to the shop to get some more paint for the Bren gun carrier.....and this happened.
  18. I think I'll be bold enough to give that a go, but will require me to acquire stencils (I'm sure Ali Express has the finest available).
  19. Bit more progress with the Stug, got the side skirts sorted, i think I'm ready for the camo paint. Then it'll be finishing the wheels, tracks and tools.
