i asked about no bonnet cert with my cert guy he said you can cert it as its not an actual wof requirement

i.e no law stating you need one

he said that as long as everything that is dangerous i.e pulleys belts etc is covered then its ok but its up to the cops discretion so id say you havent got a hope in hell in getting away with it lol

dont know if its stated earlier and i cbf reading back but all engine repowers now require an emissions test which is an extra $120 ontop, not sure how strict the emissions tests are though can anyone shed some light?

i rang cert man today regarding emissions shiz

he said it has to pass a afr test and has to have a pcv valve for breathers etc

asked him about aftermarket computers etc and he said there no problem doesnt have to run all the bullshit factory emissions

he basically said its a loud of crap

so sounds just like another way for them to charge $120 for sfa!!

i just passed the other day through wayne martin

he just shoves a afr meter up the exhaust

its something like minimum of 13.3 at idle

12.1 under load and

13.3 or something on cruise at 90-100ks

all efi cars will be the same i imagine not sure on carby cars tho

my car just passed on the msissions was like 13.3/13.4 at idel was fine on the other readings though

not sure on the cat thing, my engine is an 89-92ish so wouldve thought they would have cats?but i dont and it wasnt a problem

also need pcv valves on breathers etc, he said he has failed a few guys on the emissions since its come in but it was usually just the small stuff like hooking breather pipes up properly
