peteretep Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 oh so if it ends up at 80mm or something, i can get a cert at that low? Quote
xsspeed Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Remember its 100mm to structure, ie not exhaust iirc Quote
durty Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 yeah its 105 to bottom of shock mount shock mount wont go lower though will it??? my volvo is 80mm to the diff and 45mm to the exhaust, lolz Quote
peteretep Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 yeah it will get closer to tha flo because the 35mm drop to come is in the tyre profile Quote
durty Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 yeah it will get closer to tha flo because the 35mm drop to come is in the tyre profile tru that. what profile are you going to, and from what? Quote
peteretep Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 im going to a 175/50 from a 205/60, so 175*50%=87.5mm wall height and 205*60%=123, so difference in wall height is 123-87.5=35.5mm, but i imagine some of the 205/60 wall height is used in the bulge of the tyre so wall height is maybe only 110 which would mean 22.5mm drop in height Quote
peteretep Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 also, whats the deal with bumpstops and travel? how much you need? Quote
Ke36 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 25mm although lots of people inlcuding myself have got away with less, really depends on ur cert guy 25 is the stated though Quote
bubblegoose Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 is cutting of bump stops legit or should i find lower ones? Quote
Sparkle Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 "If you have bumps, then you're no friend of mine" Ask Ryan. Quote
Ke36 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 modifying bumpstops is technically illegal but everyone cuts them, just do a tidy job of it and tidy it up with a snader etc so it looks factory and youl be fine Quote
Leebo3 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Does anyone know if you can get a set of old number plates, ie AB1234 and somehow put them in the sytem to go back on a car? And you cant exactly buy a set from plates.co.nz because they are all taken. Quote
tortron Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 have to buy that plate - no otherway boe Quote
Ke36 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 yea have to buy that personalised plate then you can put them on a car i know of a couple of vintage/classic car guys that still had there old plates but were dereged etc so bought them as personalised plates then just chucked the original black ones on and the white ones are hanging in there garages sucks now if you dont have the original plates as the font has changed Quote
Leebo3 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Yeah I dont mind doing that but how? I tried putting some old plates I have into the plates site and it just says Sorry these are already taken. Quote
Leebo3 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 It just comes up with what car the plate was on, well my old ones anyway. Quote
