Ok I have pretty much a shell, roll cage and suspension and a (yuk) locked diff.

I can't tell ya much more about the bits and pieces abut I am told it's pretty oldschool setup and I will get the front sorted but it will be learn as I go fitting the engine and box I have bought for it.

Ok I need help with diff to fit and not too heavy.

I want LSD which will do for 200hp

I want to make a good job as I will re-rego it when done as it it has rego on hold.

Maybe I should have put this on a project build but will do it when I start putting the motor and box in.

Estima f series diff if you don't mind shortening it.

Can fit a torsen center from an altezza too

this ^^^

any diff will need some fabrication, and or shortening, although, with the widebody kit, you could tuck FWD rims under it.

if you handy enough, turret the rear so you can fit coil overs on top of the diff, and tie turrets into the rear transverse bar.

Isn't  much around that is the same width as the stock diff.  So as above, F is probably a good option, as plenty of factory and aftermarket lsd's.   just shortening axles is a drama.    Rn25 hilux is about same width,  but will be too heavy for your taste. plus super hard to find.

Yeah  F code diff.   F  is the crown wheel size.   (7.5").    hilux is G (8")        stock kp is either a X or U code 5.7"? or 6"  depending on year.

alot of them have irs and live  versions.  but the lsd centers usually swap between live and irs carriers. some need slight mods

Cheers kpr, I remember someone saying it was a 6" in mine but that may have been conjecture.

I will have to check them out when i get that far but this has given me some good info.

I do have a few other questions:

What fuel pressure do the Gen 5 3S-GE Manual tezza engines run?

What clutch setup do they run, a dual pressure type or single plate?

What problems have people found fitting these engines into the Starlet?

What sort of Duty Cycle do the Injectors run at normally?

I do have a few other questions:

1. What fuel pressure do the Gen 5 3S-GE Manual tezza engines run?

2. What clutch setup do they run, a dual pressure type or single plate?

3. What problems have people found fitting these engines into the Starlet?

4. What sort of Duty Cycle do the Injectors run at normally?

1. 60psi or there abouts, with a returnless fuel line. So you need an aftermarket FPR.

2. From factory they have a dual mass flywheel which is a big heavy shitsack (15+kg) but light aftermarket options available.

3. It's a tall and wide engine with a gearbox that doesnt fit the tunnel. So pretty much everything's a problem, for a starlet. A 4age/T50 will be about 5% of the ballache to get fitted and running. Beams starlet has been done before, I think there's a project on here or toyspeed. But not something I'd want to do!

4. Not sure.

Yeah something like that, ended up parting out his project I believe.

There was another one though, a race car... But it needed the firewall pushed back a fair bit, tunnel enlarged, drip tray for windscreen cut right back, and I think he had to get rid of the Brake MC and booster from the engine bay to make everything fit.

I think it was only possible to take the motor and box out from underneath as well.
