malarky
Looks like the perfect start for a nice little starlet, I'm happy you've got the rounded fender mirrors not the boxy cheapo looking hockey sticks. kyteler
Current tyres on stock rims will be sweet if they're the same diameter, IMO.
_Matt
Would a 30/32 DMTE Weber downdraft carburettor suit a mildly worked 4K? Couldn't seem to find much on google about them
GreenTC
Very jealous. I've always wanted a KP. And if I was to buy one I'd be looking for exactly what you've got.
malarky
Would a 30/32 DMTE Weber downdraft carburettor suit a mildly worked 4K? Couldn't seem to find much on google about them My limited experience with webers is to go for one that is still easy to get parts for (32/36's are still being made) I would ring up weber specialists or local dealer and ask if they still have parts for it to make it work on a 4k /I came across a weber, took it into the shop and was told I had an "orphan" very hard to find parts for, spend money on one that's still supported

BLIZZO
From my brief yarns with Sheldon Rush in the mainland about my rally 4k there isn't that much advantage to going to a weber downdraft over the stock carb. He had a stock carb on a not super duper engine do a 14second quarter mile. I'm no expert on these engines but he says there are many other things to do first before the carb. I'd wait until you can go twin sidies / fuck it and get bike carbs. Mine has a single 45mm dcoe on it at the mo which goes good, I have a set of DHLA40s to put on but I'm struggling to find a cheap manifold, and pondering the idea of bike carbs to rile the old boys up. Snoozin
Such a sharp looking car, could I suggest painting the trim on the drip rails black?
scanner
Great looking Starlet, good to see you can still get TGP water pumps, approx how much $ was the pump? BTW I put a 28/36 weber on my mildly worked 5k and there was a significant improvement over the stock carb.
_Matt
Great looking Starlet, good to see you can still get TGP water pumps, approx how much $ was the pump? BTW I put a 28/36 weber on my mildly worked 5k and there was a significant improvement over the stock carb. Cheers, the water pump was a little under $100. Such a sharp looking car, could I suggest painting the trim on the drip rails black? Was thinking about doing that, since the plastic coating has faded and is cracking off at the end. How did you do yours? Just peel off the plastic and then paint it?
Snoozin
I ended up salvaging a really good pair - removing them intact was one of the most nerve wracking jobs I've done! They've just been scuffed back, etch primed and painted over the plastic.

malarky
This might help with your lowering, I found f-all information on cobra superlows-Kyb short shocks when I was looking: Wheels are 14x6.5 +11 (iirc) Tyres 175/60 ZE912 ("illegal stretch" according to nzta but not falken) I get rub on the front hard cornering but that's against one of the bolts holding in the inner fender guards completely factory Let me know if you want any measurements, I'm looking at going 13x6 less offset and ~20mm lower
