  1. Water spot remover, I think got some from Bunnings or I may still have some left if you're in chch
  2. Soo, I'm wanting something to eat away rusty bits before I can weld in new metal, will this be any good for several patches and then selling/passing off http://mytools.co.nz/products/sandblaster-kit I guess it's a step up from those handheld Supercheap doodads but is it up to the job?
  3. I've got one in Central, oldie but a goodie no load leveller though
  4. It really depends on what the sticker and paint are made of, I personally would start with hot water, meths/turps, brake clean, if it still isn't budging, acetone, cum clean, thinners etc
  5. Tyres burn best at night, $5 a tyre adds up very quickly...
  6. Would any of you like a rechargeable LED work light? I've saved it from the skip at work, the battery pack has broken off but it still works
  7. I'll be doing a job out in Darfield soon so I can bring into Christchurch
  8. Well reading this topic has just made me want to throw out my small collection of makita gear. Haters.
  9. Saw this in the paper the other day, I think they had metal working stuff http://www.diyworkshop.co.nz
  10. Does anyone know about re-registering seat belt requirements? I know of a nice Vanden Plas Princess that has lapsed rego and only has two-point shoulder belts in the front, anyone had experience with getting og seatbelts through or is it a case of bringing them up to 3point belt standard?
  11. I finally broke the (female)wall of resistance to building my own teardrop! It only took several months after pining for one at Hanmer. Thanks felixx
  12. I'd like to see a 4k at 200kph, I've seen my 5k at 158kph(Which may not be accurate with mechanical speedo)
  13. Cheers guys, I was looking at Innovate ms, efi is on the cards with Jenvey dcoe pattern itbs one day, next year...
  14. So I've put in a 7k into a little starlet, managed to get it running with an old carb that pissed fuel into the holes, went well but ran like shit after trying to give it some. Put on a better condition 32/36 and runs beautifully but slow, since I'm new school(young cunt), just know the basics of carbs and the headers have a hole for an O2 sensor, I'm pretty keen to get technical and see what the engine is consuming and what it wants more of. Question is what's a good kit to buy? What are other people using and recommend? Sensors and places to stay away from?
  15. On the subject of painting garage floor, at work we recommend to clients getting marine grade carpet instead of paint, the only maintenance is give it a vacuum or brush. Speaking to people who have switched from painted floor to carpet thoroughly rate it, makes internal access garages nicer too and there's sfa price difference
  16. Very nice paint and colour, is it the factory colour code? I've only ever seen one factory green starlet in the wild. You can get some sweet diecasts that are green bugeyes in 1/43 and 1/64 too
  17. Fun time sifting through junk and then chilling out at the OS camp, I think I left behind a green water bottle if anyone picked it up?
  18. Not sure if I should take the bugeye and help fill up the display site or the van for taking home loot....
  19. This might help with your lowering, I found f-all information on cobra superlows-Kyb short shocks when I was looking: Wheels are 14x6.5 +11 (iirc) Tyres 175/60 ZE912 ("illegal stretch" according to nzta but not falken) I get rub on the front hard cornering but that's against one of the bolts holding in the inner fender guards completely factory Let me know if you want any measurements, I'm looking at going 13x6 less offset and ~20mm lower
