jsnapsnz Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Wow this KP is looking so sweeet! Your gold Starsharks are great but would you consider going red on red? I have 14x6.5J on my AE: Keep up the good work! Jordan Quote

I have 14x6.5J on my AE: Keep up the good work! Jordan Yeah, i thought about it a lot, but decided against it, since I thought red on red was a bit much and red seems to be the most common colour choice for starsharks. I wanted to be different. Cheers man Quote
piazzanoob Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 great work loving the little detailed engine bits what radiator are you using? p10 primera? how well with fitting loactions etc cheers Quote
BLIZZO Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 P10 are lush, need new bottom support mounts welded on and new top straps made, battery can foul on the filler neck too apparently but mine is in the back anyway 1 Quote
_Matt Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 Yeah P10, they fit well and are easy to fit as well. I just made some brackets for the bottom that were 'Z' kinda shaped to drop it down, so the bonnet clears the radiator cap. Used rivnuts to mount them. Then just made some other brackets for the top using existing holes. Bottom radiator hose fits. I used a Nissan Maxima hose for the top and cut it down to fit. 1 Quote
BLIZZO Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 ooo startup sounds good, pineing to see how this engine goes, have you done the important things such as running in the cam etc Quote
_Matt Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Yeah cam has been run in. Dropped it off today for it to get tuned tomorrow. Quote

_Matt Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Nah just to Ewan Mcmillan in feilding. He'll probably just re-jet the carb and get it running better, as it's running quite rich atm. Then will try and get it on a dyno. Quote
The Night Rider Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Man your starlet and build thread are amazing. Can't believe you just made your own rotors, that shit is crazy. Engine bay is looking very nice too. 1 Quote

_Matt Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 Mate that starlet is on point good job. Just curious what paint/underseal did you use and how much prep did you do? Thanks! I used CRC Proseal in an aerosol can. One can was just enough to do one guard. Sprayed on really nice. The base was in really good condition so just cleaned it well with some wax and grease remover and then sprayed it on. 2 Quote
ajg193 Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 77magnum, you can get KE30 ones from BNT and just turn them down from 218 mm to 203 mm. They're about $50 each at trade price. EDIT: Unless you are needing them for not a starlet, in that case I guess getting them custom cast would be ideal. Quote

EDIT: Unless you are needing them for not a starlet, in that case I guess getting them custom cast would be ideal. I looked at doing that before I decided to get some cast, but the only problem was that the inside pad wouldn't of had full contact with the rotor as it had a recess (that was the case with the ones I had bought anyway, some might be different) Quote
ajg193 Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Yeah, it took a few tries to find a suitable rotor. The KE30 ones have about a mm or two clearance between the groove and the inner edge of the pad 1 Quote
