kyteler
Sorry, Steeeeelies, this should explain it for you (Goat has)... kicker, not sure as yet but thank-you. I'll see what is in there now and then try and figure out what I need using mathematics. Don't expect an answer immediately/in the next year.

Seedy Al
Re Altezza LSD swap into F series diff, anyone know if there are any difference in spline or anything between any of the tezza ones? A01B and A02B?
Raizer
It's the ratio. A01B = 3.916 ratio Torsen LSD A02B = 4.083 ratio Torsen LSD That's according the the UK IS200 owners club, there's also a 4.3 found in some Altezzas, A03B I believe. The B on the end means it's got an LSD center, if it ends in A it's an open centre.
Seedy Al
so...... all splines the same then? shazam!
Yowzer
I've searched through probably most of the past posts on this forum regarding tezza F swaps and Diddy assures that they bolt straight in, splines and all

Roman
Toyota changed to the stupid fuckin' convention of calling every diff "A" something instead of T, F, etc. I think the confusion can be that some "G" series diffs are called A as well. But I think only the Gita wagon or something like that came with G series? Or none at all of the altezzas? But some other cars have a "G" that starts with "A"I've seen an Altezza diff swapped into both the older IRS housing and older live axle with no issues. If you get an Altezza LSD theres prettty much 100% chance it's an F series. then if it's a G series torsen you can sell it on for big bucks haha. So cant go wrong.
Yowzer
Yeah Celsiors and Hiluxs etc diff codes are all A0xx now too, but the numbers coencide with different ratios depending on vehicle models, and seemingly no reference to size, so a A01B tezza and A01B Hilux is completely different. Stupid system.
Seedy Al
Can I use the original crown wheel from my current diff on these?
UTERUS
You absolutely can.
Seedy Al
Cool. Thats what I had assumed. As I figured what ever ratio the tezza diff would be, would be an elephant
Spencer
You have to use your current gears. Bang it in, adjust and roll.
