kyteler
So, it's and the chamber -> runner gasket on the intake mani? Either do as Hellraizer says or get some gasket paper and trace it then cut it up. Personally, I'd just high temp RTV it, because I'm lazy. Brock-Lee
fuck tracing it. put gasket paper on mani. hit with hammer until it is a gasket. done
d.p.n.s
^+1 or rubber hammer
EURON8
I think ill just ''borrow'' maniseal outta stephens work van and do that. Gonna be a cunt to get manifold in there without making a mess of the sealant. studs would be helpfull if i could get monifold in with them. have had to go for all bolts. KKtrips
The gasket will be available - try Repco.. http://www.nzgaskets.co.nz/catalogue/En ... ineID=2139 DK690 is the part number for the valve regrind set - so there must be just the inlet manifold gasket alone.. BS5620
slight thread creep. Where can you get that three bond gasket stuff picutred from. Is it very expensive??
DJZ
Don't use maniseal. Anybody that can get NZ Gaskets stuff can get Three bond, Repco etc etc or you can get the same stuff in a Nissan tube from Nissan, my RB gasket set came with a tube in it. Seedy Al
Fuck, just get some gasket paper and use a small hammer to do it. Works mint everytime Infact I own a small ballpeen hammer for this very perpose Other wise three bond from somewhere will work But On that that note I to dissagree with using sealer on intake manifolds as there is room for the sealer to loosen and enter the engine/ valves/ yuck
CaMpylobacter
yuh threebond comes from nzgaskets. i try and stay away from rtv only. gasket hammers rule. fuck paying $128 for a tube of rtv that's likely jsut a rebranded tube of threebond worth $30. coldturkey
if you care about your shit, dont use silicone. Its basically a bodge and not a long term solution, seen too much of this shizz. In the past I have got some gasket paper, snapped a ballpoint pen and spread a bit of ink on the manifold, then pressed the gasket paper against it to give me a outline to carve out with a craft knife. Pretty low tech but works. (Clean up the ink before re-assembly).
