I may have an interest in some of the spares if there were some?

mark105
yeh just keeping it factory white. this will lend nicely to black GTR flairs later on in the piece if i go that way.
Jase
give me a yell before you spray an i'll sort some drop clothes for my wags, not keen on overspray floating onto it
mark105
thats what the big plastic tent is for gee (i haven't finished sealing it yet). but yeh sweet cant be to cautious.
Jase
mean i had a snoop the other day picking up ute springs looks mean, i reckon do the flares etc before you paint it (final coat) though, i'm not too sure but is this getting the L series on throttles or the rb? as a cammed up L would sound awes on throttles
mark105
nah will roll bolt on flares later on in the piece if i do go with that option, would need rims and so on to make it worth while. yeh the throttles are for the L, just using the factory L24 for now but when i get bored of that will do a grumpy L28. Flauski
Nah you wont be able to roll GTR flares unless you cut a shit load of tin out of the guards especially the rear, ask Ky / look at his site. Happen to have a spare drivers side guard mirror or bonnet poppin handle/cable? Cheers
mark105
ahh yes i forgot about that aspect of the GTR flares. i dont have any fender mirrors for these as both my cars came with door mirrors.
Truenotch
i was going to just taper the whole runner so its nice and gradual but dad was like nah just taper it half way so it stays bigger for longer to get max volume in then smashes it into the port or something, i didn't quite follow but then most of his knowledge relates to side draft carbs so im not sure. So he reckons you should make the taper the same shape as carb chokes? Sounds like it would cause a decent amount of tumble... Need Spence to advise the pro/cons. Need Spence to advise the pro/cons. yeh i didnt fully follow how he meant it but im guessing that the idea was similar to a carb choke. i went with a smooth tapered down runner as that was easy to form in haha. but its an interesting discussion point. Testament
Fully go with whats easiest to form and make nice inside and then weld up to the flanges. the difference between tapering over that whole 120mm? length or half of it is going to be negligible for your tune I would say. Truenotch
Agreed... At the end of the day it's an L24 on ITB's - at least one piece of this picture will be less than ideal/more than awesome. When are you expecting to be don 10 5?
