mikuni
Yah 20v hard. Don't pay any more than $100 for them, especially if its a good price. I wouldn't bother untill you have the beast back together and up and running. Engine rebuilds can turn pricy pretty easily. Gutted to hear that you having issues again. Bloody CA shit
pies
yea silver top ITB's. none of this SR shit. will buy em if they are good price. but wont do anything with em untill i can afford ECU, cams and extractors to go with em thats if i dont get all emo and sell the bitch lol /nah

Toucan
Bad luck alright! At least it went well. Now just a matter of saving the pennys then do a rebuild and throw it all back in and the engine side of things is sorted

Seedy Al
haha, I would say, that wont last, but tat the moment, 2 minutes of running for the loose. So yay, will strip down other motor, and find out why it had low compression....... guess is broken piston ring, so hopefully get away with a hone. and maybe chick in new rings and bearings. Should be something. Allan
deaf_rattle
unfortunately you cant rely on second hand engines... look at me 2 stuffed 7mgtes. Rebuild it and that way you know it will be good. it shouldnt be that expensive to rebuild a non turbo 4 cylinder motor. good luck with it, i know how frustrating it can be. pies
Cheers Matt, Yea unfortunately these things are part of building old cars. Hopefully mine doesnt take as long to get back on the road as yours mind you, your doing alot more than im planning at this stage! Im only planning a standard rebuild. Will be my standard motor while i rebuild the other into the fire breathing NA beast that i have planned
